Ring Sawing
Ring Sawing is one of the options for deep concrete cutting in areas that using a wall saw is not viable. Its main advantage is its minimal set-up time and flexibility in situations that require a deeper cut than a handheld concrete cutting saw can produce.
The K950 ring saw is a hand-held cutting saw that is used in numerous applications. For instance, we can cut through normal 260mm deep wall and floor penetrations and also cavity brick openings from one side. Ring Sawing is used to cut a variety of reinforced concrete walls and floors. The saws are powered either by petrol-driven or electrically-driven hydraulic power packs. These options enable the saw to be used safely indoors without the risk of toxic fumes that are common to conventional disc saws.
B&S’s Ring Sawing concrete cutting services are ideal for:
- Cutting windows and doorways in main structural fabric of buildings
- Reducing precast manhole rings to correct invert levels.
- Creating openings in reinforced concrete floors where access is restricted (i.e. riser cupboards)
- Removal of existing overhangs and soffits
All of our concrete cutters have a minimum of 12 months on-the-job training before working in the field as a machine operator. Additionally, all operators follow strict safety procedures to ensure the work is carried out with minimum risk and to the highest standard.
